We decided to elope in New York, having both been married before. All our family were back in Scotland and we wondered how personal the service could be. We had done some research and heard such lovely things about Rabbi Steve Blane - they weren’t wrong. Steve honestly made our wedding ceremony more than we could have hoped for. He’s very much a people person, keen to know your story and you. It was such a lovely, personal occasion. I can’t recommend Wedding in New York more for service and value. Thank you so much for being part of our special day and making it thus.

Having been married for almost 20 years, we had decided that we would like to renew our vows. New York is a place very close to my heart and having visited just prior to the Covid pandemic in March 2020, we knew we wanted to return with our children and therefore it seemed the perfect location to renew our vows here with our girls present.
I had carried out research beforehand and looked at many websites offering weddings in New York, but they seemed to lack that personal touch.
Rabbi Steve Blane was the only person I contacted and he connected immediately - he answered all of my endless questions with patience and I felt completely confident that our day was going to be in the best hands.
We chose a Central Park location and with several months to wait, Steve kept in contact and when we landed in NY, he was responsive and informative.
The day arrived with a beautiful surprise snowfall overnight and when we were a bit late to the ceremony, Steve was waiting patiently for us.
The ceremony was tailored to us personally and Steve was genuinely interested in our family and home life back in the UK. He provided a beautiful, unhurried, intimate and informal ceremony and absolutely made the day as wonderful as it was.
We now return to the UK, ready to move onto the next phase in our married life, and feeling that we have made a very genuine new friend. Our thanks Steve for your warmth, compassion and humour and for sharing such a special experience with us.

Big thank you to Steven and Brian for making our day so special. We travelled from Scotland and we were married at Bow bridge in Central Park. From start to finish Steven made the whole experience easy and stress free and we are glad that we chose him to officiate at our special day. Also a big shout out to Brian who was our witness and photographer who again made things very simple and stress free. If your getting married in NYC then look no further than this dream team. Thank you again

“We got married on New Year’s Eve, just about six months after the state of New York legalized same-sex marriage. Rabbi Blane was a lovely officiant who took the time to personalize our ceremony while adding some nice touches of his own. Endorse!”

“Steve was the perfect officiant for our wedding in New York. We are from the UK, so had quite a few questions about the process of getting married in the States - he was so helpful and friendly! The actual ceremony was just lovely, Steve arrived at The Ladies Pavillion in Central Park on his bike in plenty of time and everything ran smoothly. Really couldn’t have asked for anything more from him, would recommend him completely to anyone requiring an officiant! Thanks ”

“Rabbi Blane was awesome! He has a fun, warm personality and we loved it! I had made a special request, a surprise for my husband, for a song to be played at our ceremony that had special meaning to us. When he pulled out his ukelele and started singing this song, it was the BEST surprise! Thank you, Rabbi Blane, for making our day absolutely perfect! Married October 14, 2010 in Central Park ❤️”

“My wife and I are from the UK and had a small wedding (just the two of us) in New York but wanted it to be really special. Steven Blane’s professionalism and good humour eased our nerves and made the occasion as wonderful and memorable as we’d hoped for.”
